We had a special visitor last weekend. Yes, it’s a bit late to be posting about last weekend, since this weekend (this glorious Cinco de Mayo, tequila and margarita loving weekend) is upon us. However, I just haven’t felt like blogging for the past few days. That’s all. I have my husband back, which means not as much free time. And I’m not complaining!
So last weekend. Scott’s sister, Jess, visited the Big Apple and stayed with her best friend, also a New York resident. We were able to have dinner with her Saturday night AND brunch with her Sunday morning. It was so nice. We had delicious Italian food (lobster ravioli, yes please!) and of course, red wine on Saturday. And Sunday morning we went to Alice’s Tea Cup on the Upper East Side for breakfast. It was adorable and they had the cutest Alice-inspired decor.
There was plenty of talking and laughing and catching up. It was hard to miss out on seeing everyone at Easter, so this was an especially nice treat for us. Unfortunately, I didn’t get many pictures. Except…
Oh yes, I got to see this little guy! This is Jess’s best friend’s puppy, Milo. (Did you follow that?)
I met Milo a few years ago at Jess’s bachelorette party, back before we were both old married ladies. And I fell in love with his sweet little face and calm demeanor. And I have wanted a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ever since. Scott, are you listening?
On to this weekend, which will bring more family, some theatre and yes, probably more delicious food!
